Mentoring Through Sports

Mentoring through Sports (MTS) uses sports to capture the imagination of young people through participation in the sport(s) of their choice. The MTS program curriculum is modeled after the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation – Badges for Baseball. MTS takes advantage of the sports environment to teach positive character and value traits that will assist youth in becoming positive and productive citizens. Having fun and winning games is a by-product of developing quality human beings”. It is hard to be successful without good people. HAPAL instruction centers on positive mentoring, education, character development, positive values, diversity, and responsible behavior.  We currently offer the following the sports: baseball, basketball, boxing and wrestling.

Sports programs run weekly according to the season (summer, fall, winter, and spring).
